Lillian Donald (1888-1962)
Nurse at the 6th Durham Voluntary Aid Detachment Hospital
Lillian worked at the Voluntary Aid Detachment hospital during 1915-1916. Photographs from her granddaughter’s family album show Lillian and her husband, James, with their new baby in 1916, so it may well have been that she gave up nursing duties when she fell pregnant.
