Margaret Ann Barrow
Served in the Women's Army Auxiliary Corp (WAAC)
Unfortunately, Margaret’s service record for the Women’s Army Auxiliary Corp does not survive. According to her Commonwealth War Graves Commission entry, she died of disease in France and is buried in the Terlincthun British Cemetery. As the daughter and sister of County Durham labourers, going over to France must have seemed like a great adventure.
