War Memorial Cross (All Wars), outside Fulforth Community Centre, Sacriston
War Memorial Cross
Type: War Memorial
Originally unveiled in 1981 in a memorial garden adjacent to the Community Hall (NZ 23964 47210) just to the north of the memorials’ present location. It was moved here in 2010 when the original garden was built over by a new car park and supermarket as part of the ‘Heart of the Village’ regeneration scheme. It’s current location is within a newly pedestrianised area on the site of the former Memorial Institute, outside of Fulforth Community Centre. The cross is of white Italian marble on a four-tiered base. Rededicated 2010.
