Ex-Serviceman’s Death
Mr. Samuel Whisker, aged 37, of 5. Manor road, Stanley, died suddenly on Monday night after 12 hours’ illness. He served with the Durham Light Infantry during the war and received a serious shrapnel wound in the head. He was a prominent member of the Stanley Branch of the British Legion.
