Photograph of tea time on the ranges
20th Battalion Durham Light Infantry in Germany in 1919
In this photograph men of 20th Battalion Durham Light Infantry relax with a pot of tea and sandwiches on the firing range. It was taken in Germany in 1919.
Note that in spite of the youth of the soldiers who appear in this photograph, many of them are wearing wound stripes and medal ribbons.
Written on the back of the photograph: “This is when we were away from the battalion firing, some of the boys.”
