St. Mary’s Church, Shincliffe contains a number of features dedicated as war memorials.
The bell from the minesweeper HMS Shincliffe, dated 1918, will be placed in the church as part of the village war memorial and is to be dedicated during the Armistice day service on 11 November 2018. The church is also renewing the plaque with the list of the village war dead and preparing a memorial booklet. For more information about the ship’s bell see the link at the bottom of this page.
