VAD Hospital, St Gabriel’s, Kayll Road, Sunderland
September 14th 1917

Commandant: Dr Pearcey

Hospital: This is a hall which has been kindly lent by the church wardens for the purpose of a hospital.

Beds: 43 beds in
2 wards, also a surgery

Trained staff: 1 Matron
1 Sister

Massage:

VADs: 36 work in 4 sections. All live out and are unable to give full time.

Paid help: 1 Cook
1 Charwoman

Remarks: This hospital is in good order. There are the necessary conveniences. The stores and kitchens are in good order.
