Walter Harbron (1891-1917)
Stockton-on-Tees labourer served with 18th DLI killed at Battle of Arras
Walter Harbron was born in January 1891 in Stockton-on-Tees. Before being enlisted he worked as a colliery labourer above ground. Tragically the records show that his mother and father died within a year of one another, in 1900 and 1901 respectively.
For his time of service he received both the Victory Medal and British War Medal. He was killed on 19 May 1917 during the Battle of Arras.
