John Clarney (1888-1916)

Sacriston man served with the 1/8th Durham Light Infantry killed in action

Corporal John Clarney was the son of John and Mary Ann Clarney from Sacriston. He had three siblings, Henry, Maggie, and Jane. He worked as a coal miner specialising in stonework.
