Replica tank bank at Murton
Erected outside the Miners' Hall in 1918
Type: Bank
This photograph shows what appears to be a replica tank bank outside the Miners’ Hall in Durham Place, Murton, in 1918. It was probably taken in January; the official tank bank ‘Nelson’ visited Sunderland, a few miles away, for a week at the end of January 1918.
