The map shows the village as it was during the First World War, and has been commissioned to remember those who fought and lost their lives in 1914 – 1918. See the contribution made by every street in this mining community a hundred years ago.
The History Club is a thriving society with a very active membership and the year 2015 marks the Club’s twentieth anniversary.
