Souvenir albums of photographs of Saint John's Ambulance Brigade Hospital, Etaples
Ellinor Caldwell nee Walton's collection
While working as a nurse at the Saint John’s Ambulance Brigade at Etaples, Ellinor Caldwell nee Walton collected together a series of photographs which documented her war-time experience. The two albums available to view here were professionally produced sets that could be purchased as a souvenir. The first includes Christmas scenes while the second includes photographs of the visit to the hospital of Queen Mary in July 1917. Ellinor also collected several photographic prints of the royal visit which can also be viewed on this website.
