Photograph of 13th DLI men at Ashford

Picture showing soldiers marching to church

After their tented camp near Pirbright, Surrey had been abandoned due to the weather, the 13th Battalion Durham Light Infantry (DLI) were first stationed at Aldershot, then Ashford, Kent and, finally, in Bramshott, Hampshire.

This photograph was sent by Albert Hewitson to his aunt and uncle in County Durham.
