Ladies' match at Spennymoor

LADIES’ MATCH AT SPENNYMOOR

A large amount of interest is created respecting the ladies’ football match which takes place tomorrow on the Brewery Field, Spennymoor, by the munitioneers from Hartlepool shipyards and Trimdon Grange. The proceeds of the match are to be divided between the Spennymoor Ambulance Association and Trimdon Welcome Home Fund.

The teams have raised a considerable sum of money in aid of charitable oranisations and tomorrow’s encounter is also anticipated to realise a good sum for the subjects stated above.

The teams will march from the Railway Hotel, headed by the Whitworth Prize Brass Band to the field, whilst the match is timed for 3.30 p.m. and Mrs Winter of the Railway Hotel, Spennymoor, will get the ball in motion for the teams with Mr J W King of Spennymoor, officiating as referee.

TRIMDON COLLIERY AND SPENNYMOOR PARK ROVERS

Owing to the ladies’ football match at Spennymoor tomorrow the Park Rovers who were to play at home on the same ground against Trimdon Colliery, have rearranged their dates and will play at Trimdon instead of Spennymoor.
